Mission Documentary — International Mission Board — 2024
The Last Frontier

A twelve-minute documentary following a family of missionaries into the final unreached villages of the Alaskan interior.
Deliverables
- Long-form documentary (12 min)
- Fundraising cutdown (3 min)
- Six vertical social edits
- Board-room presentation cut
The challenge
Communicate the tension of remote missions work — sacrifice and slow, quiet fruit — without dramatizing or flattening the people at its center.
The approach
Six weeks of field production with a two-person crew, mostly natural light and lav audio. Editorial built around the family's own words, held together by long, patient landscape frames.

“It’s the first film that made me weep at my own organization’s work. That’s a rare and important thing.”
